Ava and Jackson are in love. When Jackson passes away, Ava is left in a deep depression. She begins to see Jackson and wonders if this is a good thing or a bad thing?

Summary:

Ava and Jackson are in love. In fact, Ava’s life has improved greatly since she met Jackson. So when Jackson dies unexpectedly at a school party she is devastated. Simple things such as getting out of bed and eating seem beyond her abilities. The guilt of Jackson’s death weighs on Ava heavily as she feels somewhat responsible which has hindered her mourning process. During one of her darkest moments she feels a brush of coldness against her skin, which provides a sense of hope as Ava feels maybe this could be Jackson. The possibility of Jackson still being around makes Ava feel happy, yet concerns her as she feels maybe she is going crazy.

Megan says:

Heartbreaking and tragically beautiful Lisa Schroeder paints vivid images that define the passion of teenage love. I found this poetic story to be insightful and deeply meaningful in dealing with death. Teen girls who love emotional stories will love this well-written, tragic romance.
